Hospital Fundraising

Conventional System

Fundraiser Telephone Solicitor: “The Hospital needs money.”
Donor: “Who doesn’t?”
Typical donation pitch: “Sir/Ma’am, can you donate $25 to the hospital? They need money for equipment, training,  etc...”
Age old question: “How is the hospital specifically using the money?"

Some people might want to donate toward the construction of new wing of a hospital, whereas others might want to donate for a specific piece of equipment.  Shouldn’t the donor have a say as to how their donation is being used?

CCD

Hospital: “The hospital’s NICU needs $1747.36 for a new fetal heart monitor.”
Donor: “OK, I’ll put $25 towards the heart monitor.”
